When women get together . . .

My best friend Kim always says, when strong women get together unbelievable things can happen ( or something like that, not an exact quote). But her point is that women as a group can be a powerful force! When a group of women with a focus and purpose get together, you can really hear them roar!!!

Women have such big hearts don't we? We give and give and give. Oftentimes to the benefit of so many but ourselves. I am so awestruck when I meet women who do so much and are so positive. We have choices to make everyday and if we make them with a positive attitude, so much more can be accomplished and we benefit too.

I am currently at a conference of women in California. In fact it is a conference of women who are employed by the federal government, some civilian and some military - FEW.org. Where else could you find such devoted and giving women!!! There are women here who are doing unbelievable things for others and this country. Most of what they do will go unseen and unknown by many in this country. But they do what they do because they believe and are doing what they think is right etc. There are also many women here looking for inspiration from them and others. It is a time for women to get together, celebrate many accomplishments and for others to be inspired by them.

It is exciting to go to conferences and be part of the positive energy it can create. I hope I can be just a part of that positive energy. I will be on a panel Monday and will do my part to inspire and encourage the other women here to follow their dreams and believe in what they do.

The women here this week are part of a large machine that make this country operate. I am proud to meet and know so many of these strong wonderful women. For those coming through the ranks and new to this and any other large agency/company, look to those successful and positive women who will gladly mentor you.

When women get together . . . there is laughter, fun, hard work, encouragement, love, sisterhood, sharing, support, and so much more Enjoy and inspire whenever you get the opportunity. Be positive and be part of a movement in this world to create positive energy, we need it.
