It never seems to fail ...

It never seems to fail, every time I go out of the house, hotel room, etc, and don't take the time to get all fixed up, I run into someone I know!!! Ahhhh. I, as a rule, always look presentable when I leave for an errand, work etc. In fact my friends call me the accessory queen, everything matches down to the accessories! But just that one time I don't put it all together, I run into someone.

I am at a conference this week. Since my daughter and I came out a few days early at our own expense, I did not think many with the conference would be here. At the hotel I have access to the complimentary floor. I got up early, we are in California and I am still on east coast time in regards to my sleeping. Since it was so early, and I thought "surely there will be very few people up there and no one I know" I put on my jogging suit, glasses and went up for coffee etc.

Well, it never seems to fail, when I do just that I run into people I know. I had several women recognize me and say hi. I could not believe so many were here already, and they were all dressed and ready for the day! And the worse part was that a few who I had only met briefly before said they recognized me!!! Recognized me looking so awful, ahhh, I really hated that.

But you know I have to laugh, I thought about that all day. Everyone was so nice, just wanting to connect and say hi and never acted like they even noticed how awful I looked, at least I felt like I did. Just goes to show, before you leave the house be prepared to run into someone you know. If you don't look your best the chances are you will run into someone you know And if you are really craving running into an old boyfriend, an old friend etc, look your worse and chances are you just might!

I am going up for coffee this morning, I am not working today, but I am still going to get ready, hair, contact lens etc before venturing up for coffee. The room will probably be empty!
