I love Dave Ramsey!

Many people already know this, even my husband, that I love Dave Ramsey. He is so awesome. For those of you who do not know, Dave Ramsey is a personal money-management expert, an extremely popular national radio personality and best-selling author of The Total Money Makeover. In his latest book, a follow-up of his enormously successful New York Times best-sellers Financial Peace and More Than Enough, Ramsey exemplifies his life's work of teaching others how to be financially responsible, so they can acquire enough wealth to take care of loved ones, live prosperously into old age, and give generously to others.

Tonight Dave Ramsey is hosting a live event called Town Hall for Hope, The Economy, Real Money, Real Answers. Go to the website and check the locations where it will be hosted. This event is free. I just checked my zip code and there are over 10 sites hosting this webinar tonight out in the rural area in which I live! That is so exciting. There are also radio stations broadcasting the event.

Dave has a very positive attitude and approach in life. Take control of your life and destiny. If you do you will impact not only your life but the life of your children, their children etc. We hear so much doom and gloom about the economy. This is an effort to encourage people not to give into this.

Dave will address the nation live with straight talk about what's really going on with the economy. He will discuss the history of the economy, real stats, and steps to take toward hope! Several years ago my husband and I attended one of his workshops at our church and it absolutely changed our lives. But, I have to admit; I did not go willingly or really know what I was getting into when we decided to attend the workshop. For weeks as we would be leaving church, my husband would bring into the conversation, “let’s sign up for this money management class”. Instantly I wanted to say NO, NO, not another one of those classes where after 5 minutes it is so over my head I zone out. In fact for weeks, I just nodded and would change the subject. That was all I needed was another thing to commit to. But, for some reason, I think it was because my husband had been reading all the details about the course and Dave Ramsey, he kept suggesting it to me each week as we left church. At one point he said, I think it will be good for us and our marriage. Finally, one Sunday, I relented and said, o.k., I’ll do it.

Well long story short, as I said in the above paragraph, it changed our lives. It was an awesome program. Not once was it over my head, and it was exciting to see our efforts and time invested in the class pay off. So many in the group who were our age said, I wish I had know all this when I was younger. And to our delight there were two newly wed couples in the class and a few young single adults. We all kept telling them that this will change their lives forever.

I always love listening to him on the radio when I can, his advice is so great. We can take control of our destiny and so many people do. I love to hear the success stories and I almost tear up when the families call in and tell their stories and get to shout “We’re debt FREE”!

Can’t wait to see what he says tonight. We as American’s need to take control back from all the politicians who want to ruin this country. Take control America, learn what is going on and take control of your destiny. Thanks Dave, America loves you.
