Well, like so many other women, my friends and I went to see the new Sex and the City Movie this weekend. What a great movie. You know, many will say they are extreme, but this movie was such a great celebration of all the extreme emotions a woman experiences in a lifetime.
Emotions such as love, heartbreak, joy, and honesty. These extreme emotions caused me to think back on some of my emotional life events. I may not have spent several days in bed over a broken heart, but it did remind me that yes, I, as well as many I know allowed our hearts at one time to be hurt, or at the time we thought broken. But Carrie, as well as myself and others - survived. And as so many of us know, our friends are always there when we need them.
And what about joy such as the birth of a child or something more simply as seeing a friend you did not expect to see! Seeing other women enjoy the emotions of life and friendship was great.
Watching this movie reminded me of all the funny things these women have said and done in the past, and also caused me to think back on all the crazy things my friends and I have done.
I guess one of the best aspects of the movie was it showed how you can age and still look good, want to be sexy, despite dealing with the ups and downs in life. As so many of us are dealing with now, botox or not, and what is age appropriate etc. And did anyone notice, that at the end of the movie, Carrie had her own pair of bifocals?
Love, life, friendship is something to be celebrated. Go see the movie with a friend, I did. Thank you for a great film and promoting the fact that fifty is fabulous and throughout it all, our friends are such an important aspect of our lives!

The best thing about the movie is how strong the relationship is between the women! They were always there for each other- while the men come and go!! It's such a gift to have friends like that! I know!!
