Picture Your Day In Your Mind

I listen to books. I love to read, but just don't have the time to read all the books I would love to read, plus if I sit down long enough to read, it is usually at night and within a few minutes I am falling asleep. The greatest thing for me is now my ipod and books on tape. What a great way to multi-task!

I listen to books in my car on my commute to work. I very seldom listen to the radio anymore, the news and other talk is so negative, why bother. So I listen to books, and often times I listen to the same book over and over again. My favorite is "The Secret." I know, here she goes again, but I just can't get enough of that, it is so positive. There are many other books that give the same message, and I have many of those too, but this one is one I have multiple copies of!

Anyway, yesterday as I was listening, or perhaps half listening, because I had just gotten in my car and was beginning my commute and thinking about all I had to accomplish that day, the woman on the tape said "Image your day in your mind each morning, how you want it to be, what you want, etc." I listened to her for a while and realized, wow, that is so right. Instead of thinking, ahhhh, I have to do this, how am I going to do that. I should start off saying to my myself today I WILL ..... and image a perfect seamless day. I know, Polly Anna, but doesn't it seem that things go better when you are more optimistic about it?

I know I now say, I will get there on time, instead of I'm going to be late, and 99% of the time I get there on time or the time I set for myself. It sure relieves a lot of stress that way. So, today I am going to try it. I will image my day and all the things I will accomplish, instead of letting thoughts in my mind of how and why I won't accomplish them. I will let you know how it goes.
So far, my day has been great, it's Friday!!!!
