I don't wear a bikini!

I hear this all the time from women when I tell them about our company and web site. They immediately think negatively towards the word “bikinis” and say what they cannot do. This drives me nuts. Why do women do this to themselves? I am the type of person who does not take no for an answer. Yes, I don’t wear a bikini, have not for a long time, but I sure as hell have a bikinis attitude. After all, I can now afford those overpriced drinks at the hotel pool bar; I could not afford them back when I did wear a bikini!

There are days I could just shake many women I meet. Their thought processes are so negative, and it is particularly evident the most negative attitude they have is about themselves. I read a book once, “I’m o.k., you’re not o.k.” Boy what a powerful book in that it so easily explains how others in this world make themselves feel good by making you feel bad or viewing you as bad or less to make themselves feel or look good to themselves. When I came to grips with that, it made the biggest difference to me in understanding I how I have the power to either allow others to define my worth or I define how I view myself. I define my self esteem – not others. So, in my mind I wear a bikini, I may not on my body, but I think I am much sexier than I was when I wore a size 4/6 and had no boobs!

At this age and stage of my life I am so happy, and that makes me feel so much more confident and sexy. As we go around promoting our business, we start to see women slowly understand that they too should have the bikini attitude. They have that power, no one has the power to take that away. We had a young woman the other night tell both Kim and I, “I don’t view the two of you as over 50! That said a lot to us, to me it meant
she viewed us as young at heart, mind and spirit. That to me is such a compliment and says “I am a bikini girl, not a frump!” Women over 50 unite and show others what confidence and life experience can give you. Another reward for me is the money and power to pay for the over-priced drinks at the resort bar, and not give a care. Life is great, wear a bikini!
